In the morning, a sweater is just what you need, but by the afternoon, it’s too warm. It’s hard to find the right top layer for your favorite dress. You fall in love with a new piece, only to find when you get home that you have almost nothing to wear it with. When it comes to transitional dressing, combining pieces is often the biggest challenge.
When layers need room
Layering is comfortable when clothes don't bunch up while you move. A wide sleeve easily gets stuck under a tighter sweater, and two heavy fabrics might be more than you need for the weather.
It’s best to start with a thinner, more form-fitting top and choose a looser style to wear over it. The bottom layer peeking out at the neck or cuffs can become part of the ensemble. When trying them on, raise your arms, sit down, and put on your coat: this is how you’ll find out if the chosen pieces are comfortable together.

A short-sleeved dress can definitely have a place in your outfit even in cooler weather. It’s also worth experimenting with the length of the top layer. A sweater ending at the waist highlights the dress's silhouette, while a longer, oversized style creates a more relaxed effect. Color that already matches your wardrobe
If you mostly wear black, gray, or white, a new shade can easily be integrated into your usual pieces. The brick red of the SEASON collection can be paired with navy blue, while the moss green can be tried with gray. Navy blue also serves as a beautiful base for a monochromatic outfit: in this case, the cut, the fabric texture, and the accessories take the spotlight.The dark top worn over the brick-colored dress in the photos is both a practical backup and part of the outfit. Personal details up close
On simple clothes, proportions and finishes are especially visible. Where a seam runs, how the fabric hugs the neck, where the sleeve ends: these all shape the character of the design.
The asymmetrical lines and delicate micro-lock finish of the DENA are truly revealed up close. On the black turtleneck piece, it’s the edge finishing, while on the gray top, it’s the dropped shoulder and the neckline that provide the understated details.
