NON+ FAMILY

NON+ X Bomo Art

NON+ X Bomo Art

In our new series, we present showrooms, cafés, restaurants, and shops in Budapest that are our favorites for various reasons. Places we enjoy visiting, places we like to take home beautiful objects from, places we enjoy eating and drinking delicacies, and places we believe are somehow connected to the NON+ spirit.

As the first stop in our series, we visited the Buda store of Bomo Art Budapest, which has been in existence for over twenty years, in the Várkert Bazár. With two stores in the capital and more than a hundred international retailers, Bomo Art is the most significant small paper manufactory in the country: their collection includes diaries, notebooks, wrapping paper, postcards, agendas and smaller paper accessories, the special feature of which is that they are made in the brand's workshop in Óbuda, one by one, by hand, by master bookbinders. In addition to the products designed and manufactured by the brand itself, the Bomo Art stores also offer products from the most famous international stationery brands.

The atmosphere of the Bomo Art collection is made unique and characterful by the hand-drawn graphics of illustrator Éva Hollósi. Among the patterns, in addition to natural motifs, plants, animals, planets, there are also classic, turn-of-the-century style drawings, while Budapest buildings, tile patterns, and characteristic scenes taken from old advertisements can be seen on their products.

Quality and long-term thinking are of paramount importance in the philosophy of NON+. We believe that persistent, dedicated and determined work bears fruit. The dedication, professional humility and professionalism of Bomo Art's founder, Károly Boldizsár, could be taught in schools as an example to follow. One of the reasons we chose them for this series is because we believe that Bomo's example can be both inspiring for small start-up businesses and excellent proof that decades of hard work do pay off, and that There are indeed great domestic success stories that we can all be proud of!

The pieces of the Bomo Art collection are available on the brand's webshop and in their stores in Buda and Pest .
