NON+ FAMILY

NONPLUS has been on the path of sustainability for 15 years.

15 éve járja a fenntarthatóság útját a NONPLUS

The NONPLUS brand has strived for sustainability from the very beginning - although at the time of its founding, in 2009, this was not as widespread a message as it is today.

Sustainability is an umbrella term that encompasses many different aspects: using environmentally friendly raw materials, treating workers ethically, transporting goods as quickly as possible and ideally by road, reducing waste, and recycling are all part of this. It is widely believed that the most sustainable clothing is the one that is never made, but among those that do start making clothes, brands that strive for sustainability are trying to make as many of the above as possible part of their company's practice.

Sarolta Kiss's brand, NONPLUS, has been on this path since the very first minutes. She designs clothes that can withstand today's crazy-fast changing trends and can be worn for many years. Her goal was to create basic pieces and a basic wardrobe built from them, the pieces of which can be easily combined with each other and with pieces from other brands. The minimalist, clean design allows the wearer's personality to shine through the clothes, while the more colorful, cool pieces of the seasonal collections act as additional tools for self-expression.

Environmentally and skin-friendly materials

The brand 's reputation and success have been built on the raw materials used since the beginning, as no other brand at the time had ever worked with such high-quality, comfortable cotton. Premium cotton materials have been the trademark of NONPLUS ever since, and Saci also ensures that all other raw materials are sustainable and, if possible, organic. The fact that these materials are perfectly safe in contact with our skin is guaranteed by the OEKO-TEX ® certification, which meets the strictest international standards .

The less the better - waste reduction

Among the harmful effects of the fashion industry on the environment, waste production is an important factor, part of which is generated from unsold products remaining at the end of the seasons. This can be prevented by the practice that NONPLUS also follows: there are no accumulated stocks, and seasonal collections are produced in limited numbers. An important aspect in the design and pattern making process is to generate as little production waste as possible, and what does accumulate is used to make hats, gloves and the brand's well-known, super-cute Maki figures.

Who made my clothes?

The Fashion Revolution movement has been asking sustainable fashion enthusiasts to ask clothing brands this question for 10 years. In the case of NONPLUS , the answer is simple: every product is handmade and made with care in Gaál Emese’s Óbuda sewing workshop, where the employees have contributed to the brand’s success with their valued and indispensable work for years . The sustainability aspect is also reflected in the packaging of the clothes, thanks to the biodegradable, compostable bags and the paper boxes used for shipping.

The Rule of 30

There is an approach that says that you should only buy a piece of clothing if you will wear it at least thirty times. Of course, this requires finding products that are durable enough for that many uses, and that you can wear again and again, regardless of fashion changes. Thanks to the fact that NONPLUS pieces are truly timeless and made of exceptionally good materials, many customers can and do wear them even more than that. Saci often receives feedback on clothes purchased 10-12 years ago , proving that the value of sustainability, long-term planning and the commitment to environmentally conscious operation are truly worthwhile .
