NON+ FAMILY

NON+ X Miklós Kiss

NON+ X Kiss Miklós

As you probably already know, NON+'s seasonal collections are organized around a motto or a motivating slogan from time to time, which reflect on some current aspect of the brand's life. The motto of this year's spring-summer collection, "Let's go" , was already formulated in Saci's head when she accidentally came across the super dynamic illustration on graphic designer Miklós Kiss's Instagram , which eventually led to the collaboration between the two designers and the creation of the spring collection's image.

We have been following Miklós Kiss' work with great appreciation for years, we highly value his talent, diligence, precision and dedicated professionalism. That is why this collaboration is a great pleasure for us, because we see that Miklós' visual world is close to the NON+ spirit and the Let's go illustration perfectly complements the dynamic character of the spring collection. We spoke with Miklós about the daily tipó series published on Instagram.

- How did the daily tipó series start and what was your plan with the graphics for the series?

- The daily tip series is not really a daily tip series. The plan was actually to build a larger social media base. I started the series before Christmas, but I had already prepared for it by starting to post my work on Instagram and from the reactions I concluded that it interested my followers more than anything else before. Then at Christmas I figured out that I would start showing things on this platform that were not specifically part of my projects. Since I like playing with letters, this became decisive.

- As a creative artist or designer, what role do you see social media playing in your success?

- I think it's very difficult to stand out in the huge visual noise today without a massive following. My goal has always been to be recognized internationally. My social media platforms are tools on this path.

- What platforms do you use?

- The idea of posting on a daily basis is completely normal, many people do it. In the morning, I post the work/works selected for that day on four platforms. Instagram , my Facebook page , Twitter and LinkedIn . Of these, Insta is currently developing the fastest. Let's say at this point that this task is more complex than that, and no one should expect miracles from just posting.

- What kind of jobs do you post?

- Sometimes I come up with a topical message, but sometimes I don't have enough time for that and then I'm left with a logo or a play, an illustration, or an existing work. Sometimes the messages are very simple and testify to my values, and sometimes they're just simple playful curiosities. I'm trying to create a unique profile. I realized that it takes time to understand my more complex creations, and that's not the platform of Instagram. That is, not yet. In order for them to appreciate them, a larger base is needed. I think that in addition to the many influencers and bloggers, who are often practically living advertising carriers and sandwich people, in addition to the many collector's pages and mood pages that post other people's creations or often alibi pictures, as well as the often completely meaningless profiles of people and celebrities who cause a lot of media coverage, it is necessary that there be unique pages presenting content created by creators that work well and perhaps have such an impact on the masses culturally that they move others in the direction of creation and culture - this is also a kind of education.

- What are you working on right now?

- I have been working on the city branding of Kaposvár for the past 2 years now and hopefully in the next two years it will finally have more serious physical manifestations. We have also just finished a bar in Malta with Gáspár Bonta. I am also currently working on the renewed image of the Budapest Central European Fashion Week, which I hope will be professionally impeccable for the general public.

Miklós' graphics appear on the spring collection's T-shirts, beachwear and, of course, on the well-known NON+ labels, which are renewed from season to season and contain an inspiring message.
