Thicker fitness mats, like 20mm Pilates mats, provide too much cushioning for yoga. In handstands or kneeling poses, the foam sinks in too much, which can put strain on your wrists. CORE provides enough cushioning and comfort for Pilates and intense, supine workouts. Just one mat for everything, which means fewer items and less waste. Your wallet and the planet will thank you.

On top you'll find a subtle texture that's ideal for Iyengar, Hatha or a powerful Warrior II. Flip it over and you'll stand on a smooth bottom that's perfect for dynamic flows. For Ashtanga fans: the smooth surface provides up to 15 percent more grip when you're sweating a little.

Use and care

Useful tip

Before first use, we recommend wiping the CORE Black surface with a cloth or non-scratch sponge dampened with a few drops of organic dishwashing detergent and water. This will remove any film left by the manufacturer. Then rinse with clean water, lay flat and dry completely.

*If you sweat regularly or have sweaty hands, we recommend using a yoga towel on your CORE Black mat.

Storage

Always roll up your CORE Black mat with the embossed top surface facing out. This prevents the edges from curling up and ensures that the mat lies flat against the floor during practice. When rolled up, the mat stands upright for easy storage.

Cleaning

Thanks to the closed cell structure of the mat, there is no need for thorough cleaning. Instead, simply clean the top surface with a damp cloth and a mild organic detergent or disinfectant spray if necessary. Rinse with clean water, lay out and dry completely. The mat can also be dried in the sun.

It is not recommended to put the rug in a washing machine as this can cause wrinkles and dents.
